Hello! I'm Heather. This website is a place where I share things I'm learning and exploring.

Language learning has been a major part of my life for many years. My family and I lived in Tajikistan for nearly three decades, where I learned Tajik and worked closely with the language and culture. Recently I began learning Greek, and my Language Learning Diary documents that journey.

I enjoy experimenting with different approaches to language learning and thinking about what actually helps people learn and use a language in real life. Many of the activities and articles on this site come from that ongoing experimentation.

Beyond language learning, I enjoy exploring other interests as well — including technology, AI tools, and creative projects like knitting. This site is meant to be a small window into those interests and the things I’m currently learning.
